Hi, I’m Itzel Fer, MD
I’m a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician with fellowship training in Pediatric Rehabilitation.
I write AIMedily, a weekly newsletter on AI in medicine for busy clinicians.
My goal is simple: to help physicians and healthcare professionals stay updated on medical AI in less than 5 minutes a week.
I know how hard it is to practice medicine, care for people, enjoy life, and still find time to keep up with new research, tools, and healthcare news.
That is why I started AIMedily.
Each week, I curate the most relevant AI research, tools, and updates so you do not have to spend hours searching for what matters.
I also work in medical robotics research at the Neurobionics Lab at the University of Michigan, where I am especially interested in the intersection of rehabilitation, robotics, and clinical translation.
Before this, I worked as a PM&R physician and led multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams.
Outside of medicine, I’m a mom of two. I love traveling, learning, and spending time outdoors.
Thank you for being part of this community. I hope AIMedily helps you stay informed, save time, and feel more prepared for the future of medicine.
